A Trained and Caring Retreat Team
Each member of our Pittsburgh team was touched by God to serve this ministry and bring peace to those suffering from the trauma of abortion. Our six member team includes:
Retreat facilitator
Licensed therapist
Catholic priest
3 volunteers with a personal retreat experience
Give Your Grief to God
Once post abortive suffering was identified, the Roman Catholic Church was one of the first to begin programs for recovery. Rachel’s Vineyard of Pittsburgh retreats are presented from the Catholic Christian tradition using the program written by Dr. Theresa Burke.

Our Mission Is Rooted in the
Word of God
How did this ministry come to be named Rachel’s Vineyard?
It’s rooted in this Old Testament passage from the book of Jeremiah.
“Thus says the Lord:
In Ramah is heard the sound of moaning, of bitter weeping!
Rachel mourns her children, she refuses to be consoled because her children are no more.
Thus says the Lord:
Cease your cries of mourning, wipe the tears from your eyes.
The sorrow you have shown shall have its reward, says the Lord.
There is hope for your future!”
Support Our Ministry
We at Rachel’s Vineyard of Pittsburgh are dependent on the generosity of our benefactors. All donations are used to support retreat weekends, and no one is ever refused to participate because of their inability to pay.
